Miss Maria Eugenia Baruzzi Frediani is currently a Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher in the Institute of Inland Waters of the Hellenic Center for Marine Research in Greece. She has a BSc and MSc degree in Meteorology from University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. During the under-graduation she performed scientific research in Atmospheric Electricity. Her Masters studies was focused on the Microphysics of the Amazonian clouds. At the present moment she is part of the PhD program at University of Patras, in the Physical Oceanography department, with the collaboration of the Institute of Inland Waters, Hellenic Center for Marine Research, Greece. Her currently research subject is the investigation of the impact of air-sea interactions on modeling extreme storms over the Mediterranean. Frediani, M. E. B.
