Mr Efthymios Serpetzoglou

Mr. Efthymios Serpetzoglou is currently PhD fellow at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and former (2007-2009) Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher in the Institute of Inland Waters of the Hellenic Center for Marine Research in Greece. He received the B.Sc. degree in Physics from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, Athens, Greece, and the M.Sc. degree in Meteorology and Physical Oceanography from the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, University of Miami, Florida, USA. He is currently working towards the Ph.D. degree at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Thessaloniki, Greece. His research interests include numerical weather prediction and land surface modeling, data assimilation, land-air interaction processes. His research is focused on the development and evaluation of an advanced land data assimilation system for collection, processing, analysis and improved forecasting of precipitation and other hydro-meteorological parameters.
